On behalf of the 2.4 million citizens of Daegu, I extend our warmest welcome to all masters athletes, officials, and representatives who have traveled to Daegu from around the world.

Daegu is a world-class athletics city, having proudly hosted the 2011 IAAF World Championships in Athletics and the 2017 World Masters Athletics Indoor Championships, as well as the annual Daegu Marathon, which attracts more than 40,000 runners each year. With these Championships, Daegu marks a historic milestone as the first city to host both the World Masters Athletics Indoor and Stadia Championships.

Our city blends tradition and modernity. Enjoy Daegu's unique charm through the scenic beauty of Palgongsan Mountain, the historic Modern Culture Alleyways, the timeless heritage of the Daegu Kansong Art Museum, and the vibrant atmosphere of Dongseong-ro. Beginning with the Opening Ceremony, a variety of cultural programs will be offered throughout the Main Stadium area, where participants can experience K-Culture and K-Food.
