The Championships are open to men and women who are age 35+ (born on or before 22 August 1991) and who are physically fit.

Entering the Championships does not require any specific level of performance.

An athlete must be a citizen of the country they will represent, or they must be a resident of that country for a minimum of 3 years.

If an athlete has represented a different country at a previous WMA World Championship or Regional Championship, they must have change-of-allegiance paperwork on file with WMA at least 30 days before the registration deadline.

Athletes may register online or by using a paper registration form. Online is the preferred method of registration.

All registrations must include full payment to be considered valid.

Athletes must complete the confirmation/declaration process to confirm whether or not they will participate in their events (confirm or scratch).

This process begins a few days before the start of the Championships.

All participants must present a passport or a government-issued photo identity card and collect their registration pack at the Accreditation Area in Daegu Stadium, located within the Welcome Center, during operating hours.

The registration pack includes an accreditation pass, competition handbook, competition numbers (bibs), etc.

Each country has a national Masters athletics organization that is a member of WMA(National Organization).

The participation criteria and age group classifications are based on the competition date (August 22, 2026).

From December 23, 2025, to June 23, 2026.

The registration deadline is June 23, 2026. Applications will not be accepted after this date.

No refunds are available.

All fees are registration fees, not participation fees, and there are no refunds for any reason.

We are preparing 25 types of diverse and appealing merchandise featuring the championship's emblem and mascot, including dolls, t-shirts, hats, keychains, and eco-bags.

Merchandise will be available for purchase through the shopping mall on the official website starting from December 23, 2025, which coincides with the opening of participant registration.

The nearest airport is Daegu International Airport (TAE). A list of direct international flights is available on the official championship website.

A regular shuttle bus service will operate between the headquarters hotel (Hotel Inter-Burgo Daegu) and the main stadium. Additional routes that stop at other major accommodations will be arranged based on the accommodation booking status.

If you require an invitation letter for your visa application to be submitted to an embassy, please complete the visa invitation letter request form, which will be provided at a later date.

Please note that to receive an invitation letter, you must be a registered member of your national athletics federation, and your membership status must be verified.

The competition schedule, organized by date and event, will be published in the official Entry Book, which will be posted on the official website at a later date.

The detailed schedule, including specific times and locations, will be finalized after the registration period closes (June 23, 2026), as it needs to be adjusted based on the final number of participants and venue capacity.

The complete Competition Manual, which will include all of this comprehensive information, is scheduled to be posted on the official website in mid-July 2026.

For the convenience of the athletes, competition-grade implements will be provided free of charge.

Please be aware, however, that specific brands preferred by individual athletes may not be available.

The provided implements may be used during the competition but cannot be taken outside the venue.
