The Organizing Committee for the 2026 Daegu World Masters Athletics Championships participated in the '2025 Daegu Chimac Festival' from July 2nd to 6th, carrying out intensive promotional activities targeting both domestic and international tourists.

Through its promotional booth, the Organizing Committee distributed leaflets and souvenirs to festival-goers and citizens. They also ran a roulette event to encourage social media subscriptions, providing both entertainment and information simultaneously.

In particular, the Global Supporters, a group of 15 international students from 7 countries, joined the efforts, providing information about the competition in multiple languages. Their bright and vibrant energy made the site more lively and played a significant role in building excitement for the event.

The 2026 competition is the world's only international "sports-for-all" track and field event, where approximately 11,000 masters athletes aged 35 and over from 90 countries will participate. It is a pure sports festival that aims for exchange and harmony rather than competition. The event will be held from August 22nd to September 3rd, 2026, in the vicinity of Daegu Stadium.

Jin Ki-hoon, the Secretary-General of the Organizing Committee, said, "The direct communication at the Chimac Festival was a great help in increasing interest in the competition, and we look forward to the continued interest and support of our citizens."
