Medical Service Guide

• All athletes are strongly recommended to obtain adequate insurance coverage in their home country before travelling to the Championships, including sufficient medical coverage.
• Medical Services at Competition Venues
  • A medical station staffed by emergency medical personnel will be available at all stadium and non-stadia venues during competition hours.
  • First aid and basic medical treatment will be provided on site. If further medical care is required, the athlete will be transferred to a hospital. Any medical expenses incurred after transfer may be the responsibility of the athlete.
  • Athletes are personally responsible for any accidents or injuries that occur outside the competition venues.
• Emergency Medical Procedures
  • During competition: Athletes may seek assistance from competition officials, emergency medical personnel, or LOC staff.
  • After competition hours / outside venues: Please contact Korea's Emergency Services by dialing 119. Interpretation services are available in up to 16 languages.
  • Hospital transfer: If hospital transfer is required, the athlete will be transported to an appropriate emergency medical facility or regional emergency medical center, depending on the severity of the condition.
  • Designated medical facilities: Athletes requiring hospital transfer will be transported to the nearest medical facility based on the venue location.
